Dr. Poon received his MD at the prestigious University of Alberta and completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Poon is a long term member of The American College of Phlebology, the Canadian Society of Phlebology, and the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine. For 3 consecutive years Dr. Poon has presided as President of the Edmonton Chinese Canadian Medical Association. In 2003, his passion for cosmetic medicine led him to extensively begin studying cosmetic procedures including Botox ™, Dermal fillers and Sclerotherapy for varicose veins. In 2009 he opened New Image Cosmetic & Medical Centre. His intact reputation has led to invitations to prestigious and extensive training sessions and lectures including the exclusive invitation to the annual "Face" meeting hosted by Allergan. He has been featured on Fox, CBS and other major network affiliates as an expert guest on America's Premier Experts, ® has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and has been a contributing writer for Flare Magazine, Canada's Fashion Authority.

Dr. Poon is married to his beautiful wife Debbie and they are the proud parents of Kirsten and Jordan, who are both attending the University of Alberta (his Alma Mater). In his free time he enjoys playing competitive tennis, attending NHL hockey games and is an avid supporter of the arts in Edmonton.

Dr. Poon welcomes patients to his practice where his compassion and care combined with education and experience strive to provide the best in cosmetic procedures.
